Chicken with Creamy Onion Soup Recipe

Classic chicken soups have always been an all time favorite among foodies who are also very concerned about their daily calorie intake. The flavor of onion along with fresh cream is a delicacy that is not exactly very calorie conscious combination but extremely delicious without any doubt. Here is the recipe for this soup which you would surely love.

Ingredients:

  • 4 chicken breasts- deboned and halved
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ tea spoon ground cumin
  • Juice from 1 lemon
  • 1 table spoon olive oil
  • 15 g butter
  • 200 ml fresh cream
  • 1 large onion- chopped finely

Directions:

  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper and sprinkle lightly with the cumin. When you are picking up the chicken make sure its well cut and well washed, as during this food preparation it will take a key role.
  • Place the chicken in a shallow bowl and pour over it the lemon juice and let it marinade for 1 hour in the fridge.
  • On a large pot add the onions and fry them until they have turned brown. Add about 300 ml of boiling water to the pan and stir the onions with it.
  • In another pan heat the oil and butter and add the marinade chicken and cook it until tender enough.
  • In the gravy prepared earlier, add the remaining marinade and cook and bring to boil. Add the cream and stir thoroughly. Transfer the chicken to a grinder and make a fine paste. Add the chicken after this and cook another 5 minutes.
